Sophomore Year is Amazing

One moment in time
I knew what happened
At first it hurt
At first it stung
It subsided
Yes, I still cannot
Control my eyes
And stop those sidelong glances
But I know that it won't happen

The funniest part is
How much it would've
Hurt last year
To be dancing alone
But to see how much
More fun I had this year
Proves how I've grown

Perhaps the game
We played was right
Perhaps it showed
My fate
