My Addiction

It cracks me open, pummels me
Into the earth, rips me to shreds,
Destroys my sanity, beats me to
A pulp and leaves me broken
And crying. But I, being the idiot
I am, keep going back.
Back to my love drunken,
Heart-breaking, earth-shattering

And no matter what,
I can’t break it’s hold.

I swear, I’m addicted.

  1. Ugh. I just wrote the world's longest paragraph explaining why this poem is absolutely amazing, then I accidently clicked on something and it completely got erased. -is poed- Oh well. I shall paraphrase. I was very interested in this one because of its title (I was going down the list at the side clicking on each in turn) and I was very pleased to see that I was rightfully interested. This is very well written and Im sure that almost everyone in the world can relate. Im sure you had someone or something in mind when you wrote it, but it could serve as so many other things. I love it. (yes, that /was/ a summery)
